A former colleague recently became a current colleague as Bill Blake, AIF®, Wealth Manager joined our firm. I had the pleasure of working with Bill for more than 8 years, and was excited to have his vast experience and knowledge added to the collective wisdom of the office. In getting to know Bill and his expertise, I found that his business background and interests complement my own in a distinctive fashion.
As I reflect on the current state of the financial service industry and business in general, the benefits of collaboration are everywhere. The goal is finding people with different opinions with whom you can disagree, without being disagreeable. Offering constructive feedback and poking holes in our thinking without questioning integrity or ability, has been a significant reason our team has been able to continually improve and refine our client experience. Adding a consummate professional like Bill to the office, who is both willing and excited to engage in thought provoking discussion, makes us all better.
